I took Em to the Dr. today (yes, I’m sure I took Emily) and her diagnosis was “emotional growth spurt”. Ears were clear. Tummy was fine. Throat was fine. She did pop a tooth through…. her 5th! It’s on the bottom left. Didn’t see that yesterday, so that could account for the serious crabbiness.
The Dr. did say though that this could be an emotional growth spurt phase. Where everything is colliding and just as she goes through physical growth spurts, so she might be going through a sensory one — and be a bit overloaded with stimulation. Add in baby frustration (inability to communicate and stuff) and you get one crabby baby.
So, she’s fine, weighs 17lbs 6oz by unofficial weight check and is just plain crabby. 🙂
