We had to go to Best Buy tonight for a new mouse for Ron’s computer. So, we stopped at Chick-fil-A for dinner, figuring it’s quick, can be healthy, etc. etc.
Ron had Em and I had Abby in my arms and Joseph got the ketchup, napkins, etc. like he always does. The order-taker guy was super nice. I told him I probably had an odd request. Since the girls WON’T eat baby food anymore, we have to bring stuff or buy stuff. So, I asked him if he had any shredded cheese and could I get just a plain chicken breast (grilled) with nothing else.
He said that wasn’t odd at all, they did have cheese and proceeded to ask me if I wanted monterey jack, cheddar or parmesan and then realized it’s a cheddar monteray jack combo (which was fine). The chicken breast was literally just that.
So, we headed to a booth and this guy carries our food over for us (again Ron and I are settling the girls in). Then, we realize that the booth isn’t going to work because we can’t get the girls close enough, so we’re going to move and this guy comes over and offers to pull up another table to our booth — and then does it! So, we have this extra table and the girls are on either side of it.
He even came back and offered us refills on our drink! It’s like it was a sit-down place at fast-food. It was quite nice. 🙂
And, the girls had their shredded cheese, bite-sized pieces of grilled chicken and their cold mommy milk in a straw cup. I had brought yogurt, but they were so distracted by all the people in the restaurant that they didn’t eat much of it (or of anything for that matter).
It was just the oddest experience but so very nice at the same time.
Oh and to top it off, our neighbors (in a Madison down the street) were also there for dinner with their 2 kids at the same time as us, so Joseph and Nathan went to play together in the play-gym thing after they ate.
