I have found a neat photography critique/contest place on the web. Emily’s photo is one of the most popular in the current contest and I’ve just uploaded this one, too.
What’s interesting about this one is that I had to do a lost of post-processing. Abby’s elbow was in the left of the frame. I edited her out, blurred out the grass on both sides, added fill flash and desaturation a bit to make Em’s skin tone softer.
The color is amazing and so is the shot! Those eyes are to die for!
I titled this “Emily as Huck Finn”
She and Abby were testing the waters outside — with the grass and such and I actually gave Emi that piece of grass. She was trying to pull it out anyway, so I couldn’t resist seeing what she’d do with it. Tada!
