Target without a stroller!

I went to Target with the girls while Joseph was at Taekwondo. It was raining the whole way there, but stopped as we parked. I kept thinking… if I pull out the stroller and it starts to rain, they are going to get soaking wet. If I carry them in and put them in a cart, I might be able to hold the umbrella too.

So, that’s what I did. I carried them in, but didn’t need the umbrella (thank goodness!!). Now, how was I going to get them in a cart? Keep in mind, I’m holding two babies, my purse and an umbrella at this point.

So, I used my foot and kicked out the front most Target cart. It came away easily, except that back thing that lifts up? It didn’t come down, so I had to kick it to get it to release. Ok… still holding two babies, my purse and the umbrella.

Got the cart ready and put Em on the left, sitting with her back in the corner of the seat and her right leg through the opening, left leg bent at the knee and Abby in the right “corner” of the seat, with her left leg through the opening and right leg bent at the knee.

The girls loved it! They were up high, could see everything, could see me. Em, of course, wanted to eat the safety strap… which I could not use because it wasn’t long enough to go around both girls, so I just held on to them throughout our “trip”.

Getting out was also interesting. I got both girls out, one at a time, my purse and umbrella in hand again, grabbed the bag from the cart and forgot that my keys were in my pocket. So, while holding two babies, the umbrella, my purse and the Target bag, I got keys OUT of my jeans pocket and walked out to the van.

Phew! What an adventure!
