Here is the story Ron told me today about the girls. First, let me preface by saying that both were *wide awake* when I departed this morning. I tried to get them back to sleep with no luck and by 8:30am, I had to go (was obviously already late!)
So, on to Ron’s story
“I could not get the girls to calm down this morning, even at 9:30am, an hour and a half after they’d gotten up. They didn’t want their bottle, didn’t want to sit, didn’t want to lay down, didn’t want to swing, nothing. Finally, I just brought them downstairs and put them in their swings — had to force them in [Aimee’s insertion… because they like to arch their backs which prevents us from getting them into their swings the little buggers!]. Got them strapped in and they were just crying. I had music on the tv, so I flipped it to cartoons. They both stopped and started watching. Well, Emily did because she could see, so I turned Abby’s swing so she could see and she stopped, too and they both fell asleep.”
So, I asked what the cartoon was he Ron said it was the one with the Baby Looney Tunes. 🙂
Ah, the joys of cartoons!
