Ok, before I rant about my youngest daughter, I’ll just say that I *do* love her to death. 🙂
But man, she is a bear sometimes!
When Abby is over tired, almost nothing helps. And, when she wakes up her sister, it’s not pleasant. Both of these, we believe, are the cause of last night and this early morning’s problems.
Another cause may have been an upset tummy. Where Em spit up some green beans, Abby did not, so I ended up giving her another dose of Zantac to help calm her tummy (if that was the problem).
It took Ron and I close to an hour to get both girls back to sleep. Abby cried and cried and cried. It wasn’t the “I’m in pain, help me!” cry, but the “I’m over tired, want to sleep, but want to play, can’t make a decision, so I’m just going to go ‘Anh!'” kind of cry. It’s royally annoying.
She just makes this sounds “Anhhhhhhh” over and over and over with breaths in between each one. Every once in a while, she’ll let out a real cry, but otherwise it’s this fussy cry. We recognize it well. 😉
In any case, she did finally get to sleep. As did Em. But at 3:15am, they BOTH woke up, which means Mommy actually has to get up to feed them. Took about 10 minutes that time… luckily!
It was a cold, cold night, too, so I believe they were woken partly by hunger and partly by being cold. Both ended up in bed with us this morning and were sleeping away as I departed. 🙂
