Ron and I took the girls outside this evening right before sunset. Joseph wanted to show us how he can ride his bike. He hopped on and away he went!
Last time I saw Joseph trying, he couldn’t even get going from a stand-still position. Today, he put one leg over, pushed off, stepped up and rode into the road, over to the circle, circled around a bit, yelled to us to watch as he stood up on the pedals and rode back.
I think next week we will have to do the bike safety unit study! 🙂
He even admitted that he rides his bike down the road to his friends (but can only ride it 1/2 way back up the hill — it’s pretty steep!). Apparently, Ron had told him not to, or at least not to go fast, but I think his confidence has been built pretty quickly, because he can fly! And, Ron’s one to talk! I’ve heard stories about his bike exploits as a kid. So far, Joseph is tame in comparison!
