We took the girls back to the pediatrician’s office today to get their other 2 immunizations. Two nurses came in and did both girls’ shots at the same time.
Abby was wide awake before everything started, but Emily was still half asleep. The first shot didn’t even phase Em. She didn’t even flinch. Abby, on the other hand, screamed like usual.
Ron’s comment was “we beat” but I said “nope, Em just didn’t scream!”. It was amazing.
The second shot, however, did not have the same result. They both screamed. But within just seconds, they were happy, smiling babies again!
They even were smiley at the nurses who’d just given them their shots! 🙂 And, I had forgotten to give them their tylenol before, so it wasn’t that they were “numb” to it. 🙂
We go back each month for the Synagis shot (RSV antibodies) and again in December for their 6 month checkup. Wow! 6 months!
