Last week I gave all my information to a recruiter for a position at Cisco. It’s a 6mo recurring contract that would pay well, but isn’t exactly my cup of tea … more like coffee, which I don’t drink … but could pour enough milk into to suffer through it.
Today, I got a call and an email from two people at … of all places … Expertus. Since they have paid, IN FULL, I am willing to work with them again, but not on contract and not at the mercy of their financial people … it’s full-time, paid 2x a month or nothing.
Well, guess what? They have a position open, in Cary, probably to start mid-July. No $$ yet, but I had an hour long chat with the VP today, have a meeting with a Director on Friday and lunch with said VP scheduled for next Tuesday. Dang if I don’t want this position.
Cisco : lower risk, decent reward, no benefits, stable company, ok position
Expertus : HIGH risk, probably great reward, benefits, rocky company, the position of my dreams (again)
Geez. Geez. Geez. Geez. Geez.
Now if one of them will actually come through.
