such pains in my ***bleep***? And yet so wonderful too?
The girls are going to make me nuts; not because of them per se, but because the stupid school system has a “separation” policy. We’ve kindly requested they be put together in kindergarten and have to wait until their staggered entry day and then their principal’s decision.
Of course, there are no cut and dried, objective measures for this decision — oh no, that would be too easy. Instead, it’ll be based on “assessments” and “teacher evaluations” and be ultimately the freakin’ principal’s decision.
No one seems to care that the PARENTS, those that know these children BEST, should have a say. Oh no, the schools know? OCE didn’t do ANY good for Joseph — it’s a terrible school in my current opinion and this decision making policy is not making it any better.
And now, Joseph, the ultimate in slacking off whereever possible, had a chance, over his track out to improve his D on a test and yet he absolutely and miserably failed to do so. 15 possible extra credit points — raising it from a D to a C at the very least, thrown down the tube. He can never get it back; the rule is the rule; but you can bet he’ll be doing the work now that I know.
Of course I’m probably blowing it all out of proportion. This week has been like the Twilight Zone. All sorts of things going wrong it seems. Nothing life threatening, so I guess I have to be mindful that it could most certainly be worse — much much worse.
