Today is the first day of the Mix 101.5 radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital. It’s a 3-4 day event that last year got $1.2M in donations for Duke. As you know, I do a lot of “work” for Duke — in a completely different capacity. The radiothon is on the radio — no stop for these three ish days — and that’s what I listen to in the studio.
So, my happy thought for today is that my kids are healthy. They all are. Sure they have their quirks — Joseph clears his throat excessively. Emily has her super-OCD issues. Abby is becoming a neat freak. But they are healthy. Emi is a miracle baby; Abby had major surgery at 4 weeks old and Joseph was such a HUGE baby … all with good outcomes and today, I am a Mom of three amazing, quirky, healthy kids.
It’s a good day. 🙂
