The Outer Banks’ fire blew its smoke all the way across Raleigh last night. It was so bad that if you walked outside it felt like you were breathing in smoke. Probably were actually, but it didn’t look like it so much — though it was supremely hazy. Kinda scary, though the signs on Davis Drive were blinking with “Smoke from Outer Banks — Not Local Fire Hazard”
I think 911 was probably inundated with calls. 😉
