A fun day of education!

I attended a Proshare event. It’s a one-day training, on-site (at another photographer’s studio) about a specifc subject. I delibrately chose this one … because it was about photographing Special Kids… also known as kids with disabilities (of ANY kind). It was a wonderful presentation and we learned and shared a lot with each other.

It was a small group … just 5 in total including the speaker. Our speaker has a lot of experience and is accredited by specialkidsphotography.com (or something like that). I intend to get accredited IF they run a class here in NC … currently the only classes are out in CO. 🙁 Anne is working to bring a class here, so I WILL go!

Talking with Ann and the others about this program reminded me that in high school, I did my required volunteer service with the Special Children’s School in Winston! I really enjoyed my time with those kids. Interesting how things come back … I volunteered there and worked at a daycare. Now I’m a photographer that LOVES working with kids of all kinds and give back with NILMDTS and hopefully soon with this program.

🙂

It’s really interesting how our paths are created … to the point that I know there is a Greater being leading me.
