3.5 days in Columbus, GA

It was a LONG week, but very worth it… financially for me, business-wise for the company through which I am contracting and transitionally for the bank in GA that hired us all. 🙂 I did not take my camera … BAD idea! It’s going with me next week, that’s for sure.

Around the Marriott where I stayed, the area is LOADED with victorian houses and VERY run down, starting-to-get-better, full of empty business fronts downtown area. The train runs along the ROAD and one can drive into Alabama in 10 minutes!

It was a VERY nice area and I enjoyed my time … although I was TICKED at myself for not bringing my camera. My plan for next Wednesday (since I’ll be there again) is to hit some of the locations I saw WITH my camera and to get some outdoor, house stuff. 🙂 Too pretty not to.

Oh and yes, I worked. I worked my tail off for that matter. And no, I don’t miss corporate America one BIT!!! They say “the grass is always greener” and in my case, it really IS! I don’t particularly WANT to be gone another three days, but it’ll help pay the bills, so off I’ll go.
