The owner of the dog stopped by this morning as we were getting ready for church. I was in the shower, so I didn’t actually talk with her. Ron relayed the conversation she had with Joseph.
Again, absolutely NO apology. Geez. Does she REALLY think this is Joseph’s fault?????? It’s HER dog’s fault darnit!!!!!
Anyway, she wanted to see the bites — apparently no one realized just how bad it was. Joseph was SUPPOSED to go to a birthday party with this Mom’s kid and others in the neighborhood and while we were at the Doc, they called and asked if he was still coming (because he was supposed to ride with them). Of course not!! I thought I was pretty clear on the phone when I said “Joseph was severly bitten”. I guess not.
Anyway, she looked, repeated that she’d told the kids to stay away and went on her way.
I just feel bad for Joseph. Not only did he miss the birthday party, he has bites to heal in his thigh and he feels bad that he made me miss my conference.
