One of the stages/milestones in a baby’s first year is “finding” their feet. While this is a bit early, Abby seems to have begun to find hers.
This morning, she was laying on our bed while I got her changed … before I left for work. She was lifting up her feet and managed to grab one with her hand. She let go a bit later but kept lifting up those feet!
Normally she just kicks and kicks but this was completely different.
Also, since she’s lifting them up like this, she’s starting to deliberately roll. Ron said this morning, he found her in the crib, completely sideways, kicking her sister in the head. So, she’s now figuring out how to move around on her back. Lifting those feet is a good first step to rolling! She can already go from back to side (has been able to for quite some time), so now we’ll see how long it takes her to go from back to front!
Em kicks her legs, but isn’t into truly lifting them with purpose yet. I’m sure in a day or two, it’ll be her turn! These guys always seem to be one step ahead or behind each other!
