Joseph had his cast removed today. After double checking that the break has healed, he was cleared to resume a normal life. Well… sorta. No cast, but he still has to take it easy for 2-3 more weeks. So, same rules for another 2-3 weeks.
When he got his cast on, his Dr. said to not use a coat hanger to scratch down inside of it. Joseph didn’t, but he found other stuff he could get down there. 🙂 Turns out he scratched himself raw in a couple places on his arm! 🙄 Crazy boy. That’s probably why it was irritating him in the last week or so.
They “sawed” it off in two places and broke it open. For as tough as it was, there wasn’t much outer material there at all! It was amazingly thin! Joseph was going to keep it, then the smell got to him. Think sweaty gym socks not washed for 4 straight weeks. Can you imagine? ewwwww!!! 😆
In any case, he’s thrilled that it’s gone and already complaining that his wrist is heavy — because he hasn’t had to do any work with it for 5 weeks. 😀
