Straight out of National Geographic…

This is “old news” but something I continue to forget to blog, but is so worthy of remembering. Ron reminded me last night. So here goes.

On Saturday, we were in the 2nd half of our moving mulch activity. Emily & Abby were outside with us a lot during the two days…moving mulch, playing, stripping and running around naked. Whatever worked. 😉 At one point, we were in the back yard, me pushing the wheel barrow, Ron “sweeping” as Abby called raking. We were heading up to the front of the house for more mulch.

As Emily was running up front, at the side of the house, she was tackled by the cat!

Boo was crouching in the bushes, I guess, in wait. As Emily passed through his line of vision, he pounced and just like in the National Geographic movies where birds dive bomb cats or cats jump out and capture birds, this was Boo, pouncing on Emi.

She didn’t have a scratch on her, so apparently he didn’t use his claws, but he completely caught her off guard, knocked her down, and then ran away like a bat out of *&&^ because he knew Ron or I was going to get him.

Emi was just fine, just a bit scared and perturbed. While we were cuddling her she suppressed the tears and said “No! Bad Kitty! No!” but of course, the cat had had his fun and was off hunting another thing to tackle.

Ron and I had to laugh, despite the antics, because it was straight out of National Geographic. I mean it couldn’t have played better on TV. 😉
