I knew it would stop raining when …

we got in the car and strapped everyone in.

We had a very nice, downhome, southern country cookin’ lunch after church at “The Barbecue Lodge” spelled both Barbeque and Barbecue at the place itself. 🙄 In any case, as we were ready to leave, it was POURING rain.

As we’d expected rain, and thunderstorms for that matter, we decided we’d brave the rain and get the car. I was the driver, so I ran out to the car … getting completely soaked in the process. I pulled up to the restaurant … as close as I could could get and one by one got everyone in the car.

As Ron got in I said to him “just watch … as soon as we get the girls strapped in it’ll stop raining and the sun will come out.”

It continued to POUR as we strapped first Emily, then Abby into the car, from the front seats … a feat unto itself!

Then, when we were all seated, I used a few extra napkins to dry off. Upon looking back out into the parking lot, I noted that the rain was slowing down. By the time we pulled out of the parking SPOT it was not raining one bit and sure enough the sun was coming out.

5 minutes later and we wouldn’t even have gotten soaked, let alone wet! Ugh!
