Steph and Shawn had their first and last dance. The kids are worn out. Abby suffers from the same narconuptialphobia as Steph apparently. 😉 It was a real blast and I wish so much I’d brought my camera, but I’m sure I would have done nothing but be nervous about it the whole time.
Instead, I enjoyed my family, the company and the party. Food was great… the crab dip was yummy! The pasta station was fabulous and the girls even ate a bunch. Abby liked the chicken on a stick best. 😉 Emi had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Bickers while Abby napped first in Ron’s lap, then in mine for an hour.
We danced, we had cake, we gagged on the smoke from the sparklers during the last dance of the night. LOL
The girls changed from their “pretty dresses” to their “princess jammies” about 1.5 hours into the party and were much happier. They also had that altitude problem that used to happy a lot when they were infants. It’s where they must in someone’s arms, but the someone must be standing up, not sitting! D’oh!
Then, they realized that you can’t dance unless you are ON the dance floor, so no dancing near the table. So, Ron and I were in the mix a LOT with the girls. Grandpa D was worn out by holding and dancing with them too!
Joseph even got into the spirit and danced with Natalie, Megan, Michelle, Hannah and Melanie! Lots of girls! It was sooooooooooo cute to watch him jump around with his floppy hair. 🙂
Cake was yummy … almost too rich for me. I didn’t have anything “good” to drink, but I know lots of other people did! The decorations were awesome — each table with mini old photos and the bridal portaits I took scattered around on various table. It was so nicely done!
And the rain held off! It was a beautiful, cloud-filled, but no rain, evening! Woohoo!
