At the end of the day — just before we departed, Joseph said… “Mom, Dad works full time, so he should earn more than you, right?”
I, said “uh, yeah, sure.” 😉 😉
He then adds, “So does Dad make more than you?”
I said “No, but he should.” 🙂 Think about it… 8 hours a day with the girls, 2-8 hours a day working and probably some time riding his motorcycle and “flying” his airplanes. That’s worth more than me financially, right?
Joseph’s right, if you think about the stereotypical male — he works 40 hours a week at a corporate job and makes more money than his wife. In our case, we’re OUT OF THE ORDINARY and I love it!
Of course, Ron asked me later when I relayed the story — “Does Joseph know what full time is?” I have a feeling not. After 8 hours at the office, that was full time, but Daddy works full time, not Mommy, so how is that possible? 😉
I actually hope this different-than-normal lifestyle has a positive effect on Joseph… and the girls for that matter…. one that crosses the boundaries of the traditional and works to our advantage with flexibility and adaptability. 🙂 Guess we’ll see!!
