Joseph’s TaeKwonDo graduation was tonight. He went from Blue Belt to Blue Belt decided (aka high blue belt). Next comes brown belt.
He did great, sparring but forgot one move in his form and kind of “lost it” and didn’t complete it. Luckily, Mr. Changho knows he knows the form and had Joseph run through it again. This time, he got it right and went all the way through. This is the same form he’ll be competing with on Saturday.
He wasn’t quite prepared for the staff form — doing it on his own — as he hasn’t really practiced that with the understanding of having to memorize it. But, he does know all the moves, so it didn’t affect graduation.
The best part was the board breaking. He did an elbow strike and a jump side kick break.

Tournament is on Saturday and Joseph will be sparring, competing with his form and competing with his staff. He made up an entire routine for his staff. We’ll have to video tape it for those that can’t make it on Saturday.
