I went to TCE and had lunch with Joseph. Eggrolls and fried rice, chicken and a roll, broccoli and cheese, apples and salad were on the menu. We both got an eggroll. Since it is his birthday, I also let him have a chocolate milk and a slushy. 🙂 Such a nice mom that I am. 🙂 Then, of course, there were cupcakes! Joseph passed them all out.
I gotta say, the food sucked! Ewww! It gave me heartburn for the rest of the day. I don’t know how these kids eat this stuff. 🙁 There were only about 4 kids that brought their lunch and they didn’t eat 1/2 of it. You gotta wonder.
In any case, Joseph was all excited about my coming to have lunch with him and I think it was just another piece of the day that made it special. I’m all for a little heartburn if it makes the birthday boy happy! 🙂
