I don’t know what is going on. She started getting sick again Wednesday. Fever, throwing up. Emi was sick Tuesday and Abby again, just really scared me. So, I took Abby to the Dr. today. Emi bounced back like it was nothing. Abby has been lethargic, is eating less, lays around all day, etc. 🙁 I’m still very worried about her.
As I told the nurse and Dr… in early March we all had a tummy bug. Then, on March 26th, Abby started throwing up again. Then 3 days of being “off”, March 30th with another fever, relatively “fine” for another 3 days, then Emi on Tuesday and Abby again on Wednesday. Through today, she has been very “off”… very very “off”. She’s just not my Abby. 🙁
She has had off and on fevers too. 101.3 yesterday, “HOT” at 5:30am, sick at 7:00 am and nothing else all day. I don’t get it.
The Dr. pricked her finger … blood cell count came back NORMAL. Ugh! Nothing. Ears — clear. Throat — normal. Lungs/Heart – clear. Stomach – gurgly, but normal. No sign of dehydration … except she has eaten/drank very little today. She was alert, tracked with her eyes fine. No fever at the appointment because it was at 9am and she’d had Tylenol within 4 hours previous. Weight = bad. She weighed in at 22 lbs fully clothed. In November ’05 she was 22lbs 6oz… naked. Uh oh.
The Dr. thinks it’s just been the month of back and forth sicknesses that are taking their toll. And, she also suggested that since Abby had Pyloric Stenosis, she *may* be more succeptible to throwing up. 🙁 Poor baby.
For the rest of the day, she ate a few crackers, 1/4 of a banana, 1/2 a piece of toast, fishies, fishies and fishies (gotta laugh at that) and some cheerios. Emi doesn’t eat well when Abby is sick either… and vice versa. It sucks!! 🙁 They both had “pop sicles” outside … Pedialytpe popsicles — for som electrolytes and that seemed to help perk her up for about an hour.
Neither napped well today, so by 9pm they were dead tired and couldn’t get comfortable and needed us to rock and hold and cuddle, etc. She really needs prayers, because there is NO rhyme or reason for this. Something is obviously wrong which, by medical science is currently defined as “a virus”. My poor baby needs some prayers.
