Yeah! I got a check for an additional 2 weeks of disability. My Doctors wouldn’t let me go back to work until I was 8 weeks postpartum. But the disability insurance company wouldn’t pay past 6 weeks because my company’s policy only allowed for 6 weeks.
Interesting that my company over rules my Doctors.
Anyway, my office certainly wouldn’t let me back until I got Doctors orders, so that left me with 2 potentially unpaid weeks! Ahh!
Luckily, my Doctors were able to write a letter justifying the additional two weeks and the insurance company approved it, so we got some more money to tide us through until I go back to work on Tuesday the 10th!
