Emily is SUCH a Daddy’s girl!

I took the girls with me to drop Joseph at TKD. Well… we had forgotten his bag and staff, so I left him to get started and drove back home to get the bag and stuff. As we pull into the neighborhood, Emi starts saying “Daddy? Daddy?” all sweet-like. Then, as we pull into the driveway and garage, she’s getting a bit more adamant.

I ran in, got his bag, some clothes for the girls (They just had their shirts on, but I decided to bring them into TKD for a bit instead of driving home yet again) and as we are departing, Emi is downright mad because she didn’t see “Daddy!” She wants “Daddy!” As the garage closed, she was SCREAMING “Daddy!” at the top of her lungs.

Abby, meanwhile is sitting in the back saying “Mooobie” the whole time … while Cat in the Hat got restarted.

So, as I drive away, Emi is screaming and I finally yelled at her to be quiet… which in turn caused her to cry incessantly and in between sniffs I hear … “sniff, sniff, Daddy? sniff, sniff, Daddy?” But I kept repeating that we were going to get Jo-Jo (so Abby was fine with that, but Emi wasn’t).

We got to TKD and the girls LOVED(!) hanging out. They were “perfect little angels” for 20 minutes while JoJo finished up.

Going home was another story. Emi refused to get in her seat — arched her back, went limp the whole nine yards (all the while, Abby is again repeating “mooobie! mooobie!”. Finally got Emi strapped in and again, with tears streaming down her face I hear “sniff, sniff, Daddy? sniff, sniff”

She calmed down when Jojoe sat next to her and hung out with her a bit more directly… but as we drove into the neighborhood one final time and as we drove into the garage, one final time, she was again yelling for “Daddy!” and when Daddy showed up she was full of giggles and smiles and happy screams of “Daddy!”

Go figure. 🙂
