I submitted an application to the International Registry of Children’s Photographers. It cost me $25 to even apply and took THREE submission for them to get the information. I was a little perturbed about that, but oh well… I did want to be a part of it.
Well… I was denied. According to them…
“While we feel you have an extreme amount of potential, your
application was rejected based on the images displayed on your website; more specifically, we did not feel your images portray the expert skills and creativity we expect from our Registered Members.”
Well… phooey on them.
Today, however, I got THE SAME letter from them! A 2nd time, I was denied with the EXACT same wording. So, you know what? This time, I fought back. I sent them an email back describing how incredibly rude it is to send 2 denials with all I had to do to get the application in and their system is subjective and not clear and didn’t work… etc.
So, they have responded and are going to refund my $25. 🙂 Every $25 counts, right? LOL
Needless to say, I WILL NOT be ever registering with this organization. It’s not that I wouldn’t want my company listed, but you know what? They aren’t worth my time or effort as I truly and honestly believe they have a VERY subjective thing they are looking for and if deny like this, then it’s not me that’s missing out… it’s them.
So, anyway… I’m getting my $25 back! LOL
