Lesson #3 – Dramatic Headshots

Lesson #3 is called “Dramatic headshots”. I’m not sure that this is exactly what it calls for — I think it’s just too dark on Ron’s right side, but it is definately “dramatic”. I’m hoping to steal my friend’s daughter Jaqueline for a few of these tests because she’s can show a range of emotions that would really add to the shot.

I had to snag Ron for this first test because, and I quote from my directions… “Choose an adult subject who hates to have his/her picture taken. (Come on, do you want it to be easy, or do you want to learn?)”

Ron didn’t believe this was the assignment so I had to prove it to him. Ha ha ha!

Anyway, he did nothing but try to make me laugh during this shoot, so 50% of my shots are AFTER the funny face and thus didn’t make the “cut” so to speak. And I only got 15 minutes to take them… because Boston Legal was Tivo’d and he wanted to watch.

Anyway, I think he’s pretty darn handsome!

My favorite and the last one I took…

My second favorite — just because of the angle…
