Woohoo for costumes and trick-o-treating! The girls had a blast, Joseph had a blast, Ron & I took a nice walk on a beautifully cool, fall evening. It really was nice. Granted, we didn’t quite give all our candy away and were LOADED back up with it with Joseph’s and the girls’ stashes, but heh… that’s what Halloween is all about. 🙂

Joseph went out with his friends Kyle & Shawn. He came home, rang the doorbell and said trick-or-treat. I was all set to give candy to a kid I didn’t know, so it kind of threw me. 🙂 Made me laugh and since he was still in character, I gave him a handful … and then let him in the door. 🙂
The girls REALLY had fun. They figured out what to do after the first house. We went to a total of 8 houses. I wasn’t even planning on going to that many, but it was super nice out and they loved stroller riding, so we kept walking.
They’d walk up the steps, together, with us, stand at the door, (I’d ring the bell), “we’d” say trick-or-treat and then, the people would give them each a piece of candy and the girls would turn and promptly throw it into their shared Target bag.
Then, we’d carry them back to the stroller and head to another house. Emi got so “into” it at one point, she was grabbing candy and practically throwing it over her shoulder in one move… into the bag. 🙂 🙂 🙂
When we got home, they both wanted to get out and trick-or-treat to our house, but instead we went in and they got MAD! I think they wanted to keep going. Maybe next year, we’ll go to more houses. The problem with that is that no one comes to our house (or fewer people do) because we’re not there during prime candy-handing-out-time. Oh well.
So the night was a success… we have WAY more candy than anyone could possibly need or want, but everyone had a blast.
