My son amazes me sometimes. 🙂
I was home picking stuff up around the house while the girls snacked before dinner. Joseph was going outside and inside and outside again with his friend David waiting outside for him. At one point, Joseph came in to get his Pokemon cards and David was waiting outside.
A few minutes later, I see David open the front door and pop his head it… he had been staring through the windows that border the doors before that.
Then, maybe 2 minutes later, he walks in the house! I decided to see what would happen and waited a bit before saying anything. This is the conversation I hear.
Joseph: “Dude… what are you doing in my house?”
David: “They [the girls] were looking at me. I think they like me.”
Joseph: “You can’t just walk in my house.”
David: [pause]
Joseph: “You can get out now.”
And they both walked out with their Pokemon cards in hand.
I was so proud! Joseph stood up for himself, for our family and I didn’t say a thing! He was totally in the “right” and was very “firm” with David.
Ron and I have decided though that since this is the 2nd time David has done this, we’re going to say something if he does it again. But, way to go Joseph!
