I’ve been using the stroller in the late evenings so I left it opened and up in the house, vs. in the back of the van. Tonight, I had to take Joseph to Taekwondo and in doing so, forgot to fold up and take the stroller.
That really stunk, because I had to go to Barnes & Noble to get a few books for Joseph (no time to search and request at the library).
In any case, I figured “what the heck” I’ll just go and see how I can manage. I got the girls out of the van, in both arms and to the door at B&N. This lady is walking to the door and as I’m opening it (without any problems mind you) she says in an irritated voice “I’ll get it, I’ll get it.” like I’ve asked her to get it and she just hasn’t been fast enough. Ugh.
Got over to the kids section and let the girls crawl around while I looked at the chapter books. They kept crawling in different directions! At one point, I was telling Abby to stop and come back and when she didn’t listen I went to get her. Turns out it was Emi! D’oh! Abby was sitting right behind me probably wondering why in the world I was tell her to stop.
There was a mom there with her 8 month old baby boy and they started “talking” to E&A. It was cute. Then, a little girl, probably 5-6 years old walked by and I heard her say “Mom, look! twins!” And the Mom walked back over and said “Well, they do look like twins, don’t they?” Now, of course, my girls were dressed EXACTLY alike. So, uh, yeah, they are twins.
Made it to the front counter with babies in two arms and four books in my hand. Popped their little butts on the counter and the clerk was super-nice, putting everything in the bag, holding the receipt while I signed it, etc. As I started to walk away she goes “uh oh!” and I look at Abby the thief, who has grabbed the business cards AND holder to take home with her. 🙂 Gave those back, out we go and the B&N trip is done. Phew!
