Joseph has talked about being baptized for about a year. Neither Ron, nor I, have pushed it. We’ve waited until he really sought it, to follow through. About 2 weeks ago, at church, he heard about the upcoming baptisms, so he and Ron went to an informational meeting and it was all setup for May 19th … which is NEXT Wednesday (from the date of this post at least).
Anyway, Joseph didn’t really want to wait, but our church doesn’t have a readily-accessible baptismal, so he was in the queue with the other middle schoolers.
Well, Joseph decided he wanted to do it “now” not with a bunch of people he doesn’t really know around.
So, at 4pm on a Friday night, Ron got in touch with Grandpa, Doug & Geri, North Raleigh Church of Christ (where Geri works) and it was all set for Joseph to be baptized at 9pm on a Friday night with no one but family in attendance.
And he was!!!!
And Grandpa did it for him. 🙂
And Mom photographed the whole event.
Woohoo!
He’s a new kid! (Well … not really … but you get the idea). 🙂
