Woe is me

Every break I get breaks. Maybe that’s why it’s called a break? Should I not expect it to last past the initial excitement stage? Maybe any fantastic offer should come with a caveat … “two days before said excitement is set to start, we shall pull it right out from under you.”

That should be in my contract.

For the 2nd time in 2 months expected revenue has gone by the wayside … projects that I was guaranteed to run, asked to run, offered a contract for have been pulled. Argh.

Twice. Two times. More than once.

Am I supposed to learn from the “fool me once, fool me twice … ” or just move on an hope for the best (which I did and that seems to have gotten me into this jam).

It just never fails.

Though I have to say that having absolutely no money is nothing compared to what a friend of mine is going through — her Christmas day car wreck and her 3 year old son is still in the PICU at Baptist Hospital.

I’ll take bankruptcy and the loss of everything I own over that any day.
