We crazy people headed to the Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport (Ron’s home away from home) for a visit with a restored B17 Bomber. Rides were available (at over $400 for a 30 minute trip) but we didn’t indulge. Ron certainly would have like to.
At our visit they were working on one of the engines … it stopped working. I guess when you’re 50+ years old and previously were sold for junk, the restoration process comes with some possible problems.
But hey, it flew in and flew out, so it certainly does work!
It was very cool and the girls and boys thought so too. 🙂
