So, I’ve figured, I get more sleep (and so does Joseph) if I just take him to school in the morning. Here is my logic …
6:15 am : Me up to wake up Joseph; back to bed (not to sleep)
6:25 am : Me up to wake up Joseph again! Back to bed (not to sleep)
6:30 am (ish) : Joseph gets his lazy butt officially up. 🙂
6:35 am (ish) : I drive out to the bus stop and we wait … and wait … and wait for the bus.
Note : the bus is supposed to come at 6:35/6:40 am (ish) … but often comes at 6:45 am/6:50 am
6:55 am, back in bed and to sleep
That makes it 45 minutes of back and forth, up and down until the bus comes and then Joseph has another 30-40 minutes of a ride and waiting before he starts school.
So, let’s say I just get up at 6:55 am (45 minutes later), get him up at 7:00 am (which he can/does do very easily) and we’re out by 7:05am, he gets to school about 7:15/7:20 am and I’m back by 7:35am, I’ve “lost” about the same amount of time, but gotten 45 more minutes of sleep!
Woohoo!!
So, we’ve decided I’ll take Joseph in the morning and he’ll take the bus home. We’ll get more sleep and still be effective!
