Imagine That

Imagine was the Christmas presentation at our new church. Yes, you read that right. We’ve left LifePointe. More on that below. The presentation though, was awesome. The church gave away tickets to five showings and we forgot the first week, and by the 3rd week they were gone!

So, we figured we’d just show up and see if we could get seats. Luckily, we did! Woohoo!

The presentation was a story about the birth of Christ, but not a recreation of the story. It was full of music, singers, kids, angels (funny and imaginary) and great inspiration. 🙂

The girls stayed with us — as did Joseph — and we all watched (and enjoyed) together.

So, why this new church?

First, we wanted a place we could get Joseph more involved. Unfortunately, with LifePointe, all non-Sunday activities were middle of the week in N. Raleigh. At $4 a gallon, it was tough for us to get up there on Sunday … let alone 2-3 times during the week.

Secondly, we wanted to be part of a place that WE could be more involved with.

Hope Community Church is 15 minutes away — in Cary. It’s very much LIKE LifePointe, except that it is HUGE. The 11:15am service is so full that they have off-campus parking at the High School/Middle School building and then shuttles that go back and forth. We often take the shuttle because we have to drop off Joseph and the girls like riding the shuttle. 🙂

We do miss LifePointe, in a weird way, but are getting used to Hope and like going there. The kids program is beyond awesome … amazingly so. The girls are getting used to it and Joseph is starting to get more involved with the middle schoolers — exactly what we wanted. 🙂

So, a new church, a phenomenal Christmas program and overall good days! 🙂
