Sandi

I borrowed a portable projector from a photographer-friend of mine. The girls and I made the 46 mile trek to N. Raleigh today to get it. Of course, that meant Sandi and I got to chat a bit. But on the way … a 50 minute drive … the girls were asking me who Sandi was.

Is she a Squirrel? (like on Sponge Bob Square Pants)
Is she a Dinosuar? (like on the Dinosaur movie)
Is she a monster? (don’t know where that one comes from). 🙂

In any case, they decided that Sandi was none of those things and not a lot of other things.

For example, Sandi is not a :

tree
car
road
grass
house
mailbox
etc.

I told them Sandi was a Mom … like me.

So the girls would say … “Sandi is a girl, not a boy, he’s a mom, like Mommy, he’s not a tree, Sandi is not a squirrel …” and on and on. Not the incorrect pronoun. 🙂 Despite knowing she is a girl, she was a ‘he’.

So anyway, they finally met Sandi and played outside with her oldest daughter while we chatted and she showed me her portraits she’d had done. 🙂 It was a great get together for me and for the girls!

On the ride home it was …

“I love Sandi. Sandi is a Mom like Mommy. We love Sandi’s house. Mommy? Can we go to Sandi’s again?” Over and over and over. 🙂
