Abby was asleep and Emi was still somewhat awake, but laying on the floor in her blankets. Ron and I were talking to her, teasing her a little bit when this little conversation occurred.
Daddy: “Emily… what’s your name?” [said in a sweet voice — not a teasing one]
Emily: “Emily.”
Me: “Emily the Princess?” [said in a teasing voice.]
Emily: “No, it’s just plain ol’ me.” [said in as simple, a matter of fact, kind of way. but with a big grin afterward.]
It was so funny. Now, I want to know where that came from! 🙂
