The girls have ‘after’ confused with ‘before’. They’ll say ….
“We’re going to put on our shirts after we go to bed.”
or
“We’re going to go in the van after we go to church.”
What they really mean is:
“We’re going to put on our shirts before we go to bed.” and “We’re going to go in the van before we go to church.”
It’s really cute, but sometimes confusing, because “after” is actually appropriate in some situations, but it’s not what they mean.
