I talked with five general contractors about the new space. I met with three at the studio in the space of two days.
Yesterday, one bailed saying he is too busy.
Today, one bailed and said he wasn’t going to be able to help within my budget. This is the same one that told me over and over I wouldn’t be able to do it for $30k, that I was basically crazy to think I would, but at the same time, WANTED to give me an estimate. 🙄
Then, I got one new today that was $41k with a list of exclusions a mile long … all of which cost $$. Do they *think* I don’t see that? I said, when I met with them, that I needed it ALL DOCUMENTED. Uh … duh???? Hello? Anyone home? 🙄 🙁
