Saturday I was going to photograph a wedding. I had an assistant that I’d lined up in MI … to 2nd shoot as it’s called. She would be working for free … for the experience. Unfortunately, on Friday, all three of her kids came down with the chickenpox and with no babysitter available, she obviously could not come help me.
But I learned that same morning that an “old friend” … one my sister’s age … was back in town and is a photographer! And, what was even neater is that she was available to help!
Amanda Wagoner was my sister’s age and Jason, her brother, was my age. The last time I saw Amanda was at Jamie’s wedding …. 5 (?) years ago? In any case, she jumped right in and I had my assistant. She was wonderful and it was great to work with someone of her caliber and flexibility!
