What a great event. I am exhausted beyond belief and going to put my thoughts to “paper” and go crash. All my “helpers” were AWESOME. We branded just under 500 kids!!! Yes … 500!! I estimated (since I didn’t count) that I have about 525 tatoos left which means we put on 475 (ish given we all messed up a few by forgetting the plastic!). That means that my logo is on nearly 500 people and will be until mom and dad scrub, scrub, scrub it off. ๐
We also gave out an enormous number of flyers and ads and business cards. I booked one Peakfest special, talked with tons and tons of people and really got my name out there. I got 163 raffle entries! That means 163 FAMILIES came by the studio and registered!! How cool is that? Joseph picked the winner tonight. ๐ I’ll announce that Monday when I go back to the studio Monday.
The booth was beautiful, but guess what? I didn’t take a single photo of it. ๐ The walls were perfect and really protected us and all my prints. It was very pretty too with all the hanging photos and those on easels and having so many moms as my helpers. They often could point to an image and say “that’s mine!” The chairs were perfect for the kids to sit in and get tattoo’d and it was a genius strategy to have moms fill out the raffle form while the kdis got those tattoo’s “pasted” to their skin. It was fantastic! ๐
We bundled up a bit early though because someone “announced” the impending rain storm which wasn’t. So it all ended about 4:30pm and my 3-5pm helpers helped me pack up and load up the van. Thanks to the start of my day being at 7am, I had a wonderful parking spot and it was easy to carry everything back … just a few trips.
Now, I get to prep for the Toys R Us “expo” on 9/12 and then the Apex Business Expo where I’ll be “pushing” a headshot package…. it is a business expo! ๐ Today was a fantastic day and I really enjoyed my time with my customers and with new potential customers and with all the little kids, big kids and kids at heart that stopped by.
Of course, I’m going to pay for it. My throat is sore from all the talking, I scratched my hands like crazy and apparently bruised my right hand. Oh well. No pain, no gain. ๐
