Not hay fever? Fifth’s disease?

My diagnosis now. She woke up this morning with a weird rash that I swear I recognized from “Before”. It was all over her torso, upper arms, upper things and lower neck. I remember Joseph having something like this. Well, guess what? Fifth’s starts with a fever … then cold symptoms and fever, then after it seems like it’s gone (aka yesterday) it hits with a spider-like rash on the torso, upper arms and upper thighs. Hmmmm….. sounds interestingly familiar!

Not itchy and when the rash is around it’s not contagious. Fifth’s usually hits kids 5-10, but it was suggested it could hit anyone under 10. So maybe it’s not allergies after all! Fifth’s is also a one-time-only disease, so hopefully this is it and that’s it.

Since it’s a virus, there is nothing that can be done, except managing fevers (which she hasn’t had any since Friday morning) and then letting it work its way out of her system.

So far, no signs for Abby … but … given their proximity, I expect it to hit about Wednesday … while I’m in GA again. Ron’s NOT going to be a happy camper!
