A cold winter’s day and 8 hours of …

photography instruction! 😀

Today (and tomorrow) I’m attending the PPofNC’s (Professional Photographers of NC) Eastern Guild. It’s a 2-day event of education, interaction and just plain tons ‘o picture-related stuff. I’m sure I could easily bore anyone that would like to tears. 🙂

Today’s first session missed a little, but nonetheless, I came out with a new “plan” from it. The 2nd session though … well … wow. If I can be only 1/2 as good as this guy … I’d be great! He really focused on using light to make people look goooooooooood. I have really only just recently begun to use my lights like this, experimenting here and there on my own.

Today was an eye opening and awakened a desire to REALLY play with my lights and to REALLY work on POSING my subjects more than I do. I love the way I work, but I learned at least a dozen new things that WILL make some of my images even that more memorable. I can’t wait!!

So, off to bed so I can get up, drive back to Southern Pines and enjoy another 8 hours! Woohoo!
