Christmas Eve Eve

Christmas eve eve was, I imagine, going to be just about a grand as Christmas day itself. Christmas eve eve was the Bickers’ family Christmas celebration with ALL Bickers’ in attendance, together, in one place, and one room for part of the time.

The kids started off by making marshmallow snowmen ornaments and decorating Christmas cookies. Apparently that was a blast. The girls emptied their stockings and played with binoculars and other assorted goodies that they couldn’t resist.

Joseph was nearly non-existent as he, Sara and Daniel were the three musketeers and disappeared only to reappear when the word “food” or “presents” was said aloud. 😀

Emily was freaked out by Uncle Doug again … it’s the mustache, we’re sure. But eventually, she warmed up enough to even give him a hug. Abby was fine with it the whole time, as she has been every time we’ve hung out with them. I don’t know what freaks Em out about it, but it truly and honestly does… to the point of shakes and tears. Weird.

Dinner at 6, presents at 8, what could have made a better night? Oh, the kids will say “Santa” of course, but I think this was a pretty good start. Joseph and Daniel took their electricity-making-game thing and apparently stayed up until 1am playing with it. The girls took their monkeys from aunt Catherine and wouldn’t release them. Ron will be sucked into his Solo book the moment he has some free time and I will be taking my $$ and buying unnecessary studio furnishings. 😉 I only say unnecessary, because that’s what Ron thinks. Everything I buy will be necessary!! 😀

All in all, a WONDERFUL evening of family and entertainment! On to Christmas Eve!
