“Abby was diaperless most of the morning and at one point was “holding” herself, so I asked her if she wanted to potty. She ran into the bathroom and I sat her on the “big” potty and she said “psssst” like usual and got down. She was crossing her legs and stuff like she had to go, so I had her sit on the little potty. She sat there, aid “psssssssst” and got up. Obviously she still had to go, so I tried to get her to sit back down on the little potty. Instead, she said “Diapee?” I said “No, sit on the potty. Go peepee IN the potty.”. She said “Diapee!” quite a bit more forcefully. I said “Go in the potty” and she said “No! Diapee!” [said with EMPHASIS!] I tried again to get her to go ON the potty, but this time, she turned around, slammed down the plastic lid and stared holes through me. 😀 Then said. “Diapee!” So I put a diaper on her and she promply peed in it.” 😆
Geez! If she can hold it like this (and they BOTH do this) why won’t they GO in the potty!?
