Joseph came home from camp today. Sounds like he had a lot of fun, but also sounds like it was a tough for him. He apparently made some good new friends, didn’t like on “guy” who had black fingernail polish on — he seemed “evil” and *might* go again next year. He did NOT like that he had to perform in front of “150” people … which we are still trying to translate to the “right” number.
He didn’t swim at all — which surprised me … a lot. He’ll have to go to G&G’s for a bit so he can swim more! Only two more weeks of “summer” for him.
He told us about the canteen, the mess hall, how they came in to eat, the classes (one boring and one not as much), his “big brother” ripping 1/2 his toenail off (ouch!) and just camp-life in general. He said he slept on the top bunk too! I, of course, asked him if he fell off and he said ‘no’. 😉
He did the get the four letters sent to him. 🙂 Said he didn’t have time to read Grandpa’s. 😉 😉
All in all, I think it was a GREAT experience for him and will have been a great one for a long time. 🙂
