Exposure testing…

I needed to run some more tests with my camera. You’d think after a year, I’d have this by now… but there seems to be always ways to improve! 🙂 In any case, I, of course, asked my guinea pigs to participate and Emily all but yelled “No! No! No! No! No!” LOL But, I promised more fun this time and I delivered. They spent 1/2 an hour with me … playing.

The goal for this test was to see how badly my camera is underexposing my images. So I shot and checked, shot and checked, shot and checked. I ended up shooting f/4.0, ISO 400, 1/80 (that’s not so good for moving subjects). I really need it to be 1/125 or higher for those under 5. 🙂 That means 1) more light or 2) bigger aperture — which I DON’T like the idea of. I love the depth of field that f/4 gives me.

So, anyway… there are a bunch of photos in the May folder, but most I didn’t run my cleanup action on so they look washed out… more grey than pink. The pinker ones are the cleaned up ones because they were too cute to resist! 🙂
