Ugh! I forewarned Ron that this transition was/is going to be frustrating. And, it is! Macs just don’t work the same way as Windows! I like what I’m used to. I like some of the features… and some of them just don’t exist — or aren’t quite the same on a Mac. I will say, however, that I have managed to get Photoshop back up and running with the exception of ONE action … that I will do tonight. My monitor is calibrated, so I’m safe for colors now. But a bunch of the business process stuff has been altered by functionality… so I have to figure out another way to do it…. ah the joys. I’ll get there, but man it’s a challenge!
I believe the correct title for this entry should be “Change is hard!!!” 😉
The Mac is quite easy. I don’t think I’ve even touched one in 17 years and I was able to do a whole lot of stuff quite easily in the one day I used it. I wasn’t trying to change my entire workflow, though. I had the same “change pains” a couple years ago when I switched to Linux, but now I get frustrated when I have to go back to Windows. Mac OS X, being based on UNIX, is much more familiar to me than Windows because it’s more like Linux than Windows.
Oh, and Macs not working the same as Windows is a good thing. 🙂 We’ll get you running; don’t worry.
