In an interesting twist today, I saw my text used on another photographer’s site. How do I know it’s my text? Because it’s how *I* talk.
I have sent her an email and hope that it will be resolved without incident.
I know imitation is the “sincerest form of flattery” but outright copyright infringement is a federal offense. 🙁 I’m hopeful that by Monday, this will be resolved.
I believe we (a collective we referring to anyone) get ideas from other, but direct copying of the material is not only not allowed, it’s downright wrong.
My site includes the (c) copyright and by federal law, I don’t have to register it, although I might start to do so for some things.
Uh. I hate this kind of thing. Hopefully this will no longer be an issue soon.
